New Horizon Friends,

Thank you for your faithfulness as we have navigated a prolonged time of uncertainty over the past several years. We are now discovering our new “normal” at this season when we explore the meanings of stewardship. This involves embarking on a journey of generosity and growth. The stewardship theme of “This is who we are” is a process of rediscovering the community New Horizon is called to serve and minister to. Please prayerfully enter with me as a vital part of our community to discover God’s unfolding vision at New Horizon.

This year we have the four C themes in our worship series:

October 2: Community [scripture Phil. 1:6, 2:13, 4:1, and 4:13]

October 9: Connection, [scripture Acts 20:32-38]

October 16: Compassion [scripture 1 Peter 3:8], and

October 23: Care [scripture Eph. 4:11-16].

We welcome your thoughts, visions, and hopes for New Horizon. Consider what roles we play and what spiritual gifts we have. Consider where does God want us to go? Join us on this journey of discernment of God’s unfolding Vision at New Horizon.

Please join us as you can as we will tie the themes together on Consecration Sunday, October 30th with commitment and a time of celebration with a light lunch.

Please find our latest financial feedback and our Finance Team is available for any further questions.

Our October celebrations are well underway and we look forward to seeing you in the Patch, at Let’s Eat on Sunday the 16th at 4 pm and at our Trunk and Treat on the 22nd of October, we still have a few spots for Trunks and would love you to sign up for one. Finally, we have our Fall Festival on the 29th which promises to be a very special time.

May the healing presence of God be with you, especially those who are sick this week.

For our Lord is ever present.

Blessings and love Jacqui
