Holy Week Palm Sunday March 29 – Easter Sunday April 5

Learning Center Chapel 8:45 am Monday-Thursday. All are invited to join in this special Holy Week chapel with our tiny humans, staff and teachers in our Sanctuary.

Maundy Thursday communion worship is 7:00 pm in the Sanctuary as we commemorate Jesus’ Last Supper with the disciples. Footwashing and handwashing will be offered in this service.

You and a family member or friend will go to the footwashing or handwashing station during worship and share in this meaningful symbol. Jesus acted as a servant and washed the disciples’ feet to symbolize humility, purification, and the need for his followers to serve one another.

Symbolism: Many have asked why we walk the altar items (the cross, the Bible and the Christ Candle) out of the church at the end of the Maundy Thursday service. This is to symbolize Jesus dying and the light going out as he is crucified. We leave the Sanctuary dark and empty. But the darkness could not hold Jesus. He rose on Easter Sunday! The cross, the Bible and especially the light of the Christ candle symbolize this. This is also why we light the altar candles and the Christ candle every Sunday, and we carry the light out of the Sanctuary every Sunday to represent carrying the light of Jesus out into the world.

Good Friday worship is at 3:00 pm in the Sanctuary when we remember the crucifixion of Jesus, his final hours and death at Calvary.

Saturday is a day for quiet reflection and preparation for Easter Sunday.
