The New Horizon UMC “Dinner Out” group will gather in the spirit of Christian fellowship on Thursday, August 22, 6:00 pmPM at Taj Indian Grill (5602 S. Enjoy authentic North and South Indian cuisine made with the highest quality ingredients and pure Indian spices that will have you savoring every bite. New Horizon Food for Thought
The start of the new school year is here, and we must be ready to pack our student bags again, so we need your help replenishing our food item inventory. These are the food items we are collecting:
Box or bag of rice (1lb or less), Bag or can of beans/chickpeas/lentils/split peas (1lb or less), Oatmeal pouches, Applesauce or fruit cups, Granola bars, Can of tuna or chicken (6 oz or less), Snack box size of raisins or craisins, Crackers (sleeves), Jar of peanut butter (16 oz or 18 oz), Mac & Cheese cups (microwave).
The food bag is given to elementary students to take home, so please be mindful of the size of the food item. Please leave your donations at our table in the lobby.
Boy Scout Car Wash Saturday, August 31, 10am-4pm
Please support the scouts and enjoy a clean car! They will be washing under the portico from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.

This CPR class covers infant, child and adult CPR, AED, Choking, and drug overdose. (Narcan and Anaphylaxis). Childcare is provided with registration. $50. A Disciple’s Path Begins Sunday, Aug. 25, 11:30 am – 1:00 pm
Prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness…this is what we commit to when we become members of The United Methodist Church, and it’s a big step. Discipleship is ongoing, so the 6-week study helps you develop spiritual practices, discover your unique gifts, and engage in ministry.
