Holy Week Invitation: Love in Action.
Dear Beloved Church Family,
Grace and peace to you during this sacred Holy Week.
Scripture reminds us:
“We love because He first loved us… Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar… Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.” (1 John 4:19–21)
Holy Week calls us beyond words into action. It challenges us to reflect the love of Christ not only in what we say, but in how we live—how we forgive, how we serve, and how we welcome others. And here is a truth we must not miss: people don’t come to church because of a sermon—they come because someone invited them. Before anyone hears the message, they feel the invitation. This is our moment. As we prepare to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord this Sunday, I want to challenge each of you: invite someone to church. A neighbor, a friend, a coworker, or even someone you’ve been meaning to reconnect with. Your invitation could be the very doorway through which someone encounters the life-changing love of Jesus Christ. Let New Horizon be a church that not only proclaims love, but practices it boldly—reaching out, welcoming in, and making room for others at the table of grace.
I look forward to worshiping and celebrating the victory of resurrection life with you and those you invite. I do not cease to pray for you and I know you pray for Pastor Tammie and our church as well.
