Dear Friends,

As the season of advent marches on, and the excitement of Christmas draws closer I marvel at the many traditions this season offers.
I was wondering what tradition brings you the greatest JOY!
Mine is the time spent cooking and baking with family. Especially the Gingerbread Cookies! So much so that when I go back to South Africa to pack up my house, Daniel my 27 year old Son insists we bake them on the 28th of December.
I treasure these moments.
May your Christmas preparations and traditions bring you to a place of Joy this week.
On Sunday we light the candle of Joy! A pink candle that insists that in all things good and bad we are promised to a place of Joy.
As often said when we put Jesus first, love others and care for ourselves we find JOY!
