Worship Service Time Change
This Sunday January 14, 2024
New Horizon will shift to two worship services this Sunday, January 14.
The 8:45 am Traditional Worship will be led by the Chancel Choir.
Fellowship 9:45-10:10 am in the Mission Building.
The 10:15 am Contemporary Worship will be led by the Worship Team.
Children’s Church in the Mission Building following the Children’s Message.
Greeters, ushers, and communion servers are needed for each service. How will you serve?
Searchers Adult Sunday School Class UpdateBeginning this Sunday the Searchers Adult Sunday School class will be meeting in the Rainbow room following the 8:45 Traditional Service. The class uses The Wired Word, lessons that link the latest headlines and current events to appropriate Scripture. All are welcome.
New Horizon Food for Thought
(formerly Pack a Sack)
We continue to provide food for elementary school kids as NH Food for Thought. Prayers please for this program and the children we serve. Please see the bag items on display in the lobby. These are the items each bag contains:
1 box rice, 1 small bag black beans, 2 individual oatmeal packets, 2 individual applesauce or fruit cups, 2 granola bars, 1 envelope or can of tuna or chicken, 1 individual box of raisins or craisins, 1 sleeve saltine crackers, 1 can vegetables. Once a month: 1 16-20 oz jar Peanut Butter (not the large jar) and 2 individual microwave mac & cheese cups. To donate www.newhorizonumc.com choose fund: Food for Thought.
Prayer Shawl MinistryIf you knit or crochet we would love for you to be part of our prayer shawl ministry. Pray as you knit or crochet for the person that will receive your gift. We hope to create a warm, safe, wrap, so the wearer knows they are being held in prayer and that the love of God surrounds them to support and protect. Any questions call the office 954.434.7400.
