09/10/2025 A Note From Pastor Tammie

Greetings, dear friends of Jesus and my friends as well,

What a week it has been! God is surely on the move, and we are enjoying the ride with Jesus together.

On Sunday, we spent a full day in worship. In the morning, we reflected on what it means to let people be themselves and let God do the work in all of us. Too often, I find myself wanting to not only carry my own cross but also to tell my neighbor how to carry theirs! But when we truly let God be God, it frees us. We can then delight in Jesus shining through one another.

Later that evening, a group of us gathered for the installation service of our new District Superintendent in Plantation. It was a holy and joyful celebration of worship.

Monday—though it was supposed to be my day off—the Lord led me to visit two of our members in the hospital, one in Cooper City and another in Hollywood. It was a blessing to pray with them.

Tuesday brought one of the sweetest moments: chapel with the children in the Sanctuary, surrounded by so many grandparents for Grandparents’ Day. One little friend even came to the office afterwards with his mom and grandmother and declared he didn’t want to go home—he wanted to stay at church! That says so much about the love and leadership of those who serve our school.

Meanwhile, as I write today, the staff and I are busy preparing forms and holding meetings in anticipation of our 2025 Church Conference.

And yes—before I forget—we also had a wonderful Sunday potluck! God continues to send new laborers into His field, and my heart is filled with praise for His goodness and mercy each day.

So I encourage you: stop by the office for a visit, come worship with us in person, or join one of our Bible gatherings, follow New Horizon online whether Facebook, YouTube or the church website. The kingdom of God is here, and together we are part of it.

In Christ’s love,

Pastor Tammie
