05/14/2025 A Note From Pastor Tammie

Dear beloved friends in Christ,

It seems like just yesterday we were gathered together celebrating Mother’s Day, and here we are—already on Wednesday! I hope and pray that whether you are a mother, a woman who has nurtured others like a mother, or someone remembering a beloved mother or child, your day was touched by grace. For those who may have spent the day in grief or remembrance, please know this: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1). The Lord is near to all of us, holding each one gently in the palm of His hand.

A heartfelt thank-you to the New Horizon Men’s Group for the beautiful carnations. I was blessed to receive the very last one—and even more blessed to pass it along to another mother. Truly, it was a gift that keeps on giving.

I had the joy of spending some time with my daughters on Monday over lunch. It was a sweet moment of connection. Please continue to keep my family—and all those facing health challenges—in your prayers.

As we look ahead to this Sunday’s worship, I am preparing to share God’s Word, Lord willing. Our Scripture text comes from 1 John 1:1 – 2:2. I encourage you to read it in advance, pray, and meditate on its meaning. As you do, listen for the whisper of the Holy Spirit and take note of what stirs within your heart.

Your church community needs your prayers as we navigate several meetings and decisions this week. Let us continue to walk together in love and unity.

We look forward to worshiping together this Sunday. Come ready to be encouraged, renewed, and inspired by God’s Word.

With love in Christ,
Pastor Tammie
