For everything there is a season, a time for everything under heaven Ecclesiastes 3:1
This scripture is well known as it speaks of a time for this and a time for that; there is a time for everything. As a great new chapter in life begins, there is a closing of the last chapter. There is a time for everything; a time to start new and a time to end.
These are the last devotionals I write for New Horizon. Sunday will be my last sermon as your pastor. However, I will be around some in June but lots of travel. I also hope you invite me back sometimes for big celebrations.
We use the word last a lot when a season is coming to an end. We all know though that when one season comes to an end a new one begins. In our household of raising boys, we always measured time by the “sport” seasons. When one sport had their final championship game the next season was already going.
We are all transitioning into a new season. It is a season of God’s Kingdom work in our lives and in our communities. For all of us the next season promises to be a good one.
May you be richly blessed,
Pastor Rafe
