It’s so good to be back home. The welcome of palm trees is an oasis of warmth. Advent has arrived, and we enter the season of Hope, Joy, Love, and Peace. The message of Christmas is that Christ’s Light has come to the world and shines in the places of pain and fear, despair and tragedy, and we are called the People of Christ. As you enter this season, it is time to imagine how we become a light of hope, joy, love, and peace. As the days grow shorter and the nights a little longer, we draw closer to “the arrival of the Light- that turns the World upside down or right side up! The journey towards or beyond the manger is one of reversing expectations, encountering what we thought we already knew in brand new ways, and receiving good news from unexpected places”.
